Sit back and enjoy your rare glimpse inside the phenomenon known as "Mystik Spiral". Our guides through this journey are:

Mystik Spiral Members

Guitar and Vocals: Trent Lane
Rhythm Guitar: Jesse Moreno
Bass: Nicholas Campbell
Drums: Max Taylor

"Mystik Spiral" has never really been talked about in most Daria episode's. In fact, till the printing of The Daria Diaries by Anne D. Bernstein, we didn't even know there were two other band members! All we knew up to that point was Trent had a band, they were called the Mystik Spirals, and Jesse was part of it (though then we didn't know his last name, which means "brown haired" in Spanish). In "Road Worriers" we discovered that there was a third member, the drummer, who remained nameless but didn't seem to mind lending the Tank to Jesse and Trent.

Thus far, Mytisk Spiral has recorded three songs. "Icebox Woman", which we hear during "Road Worriers", "Behind My Eyelids" and "From The Futon". The lyrics to these three are shown below. Mystik Spiral also enjoys the benefit of playing at McGrundy's Pub on regular occassions.

"Behind My Eyelids"
by Trent Lane

As lashes close
I see my woes
Spread out like a carpet of bugs
In absence of light
Pass visions of night
And shallow graves left halfway dug

Behind my eyelids
Is a world you cannot see
A place that's just for me
Behind my eyelids

You watch a tear
It trickles clear
And glistens on my skin
My liquid pain
Oh, world profane
Please, baby, let me in.

Behind my eyelids
Is a world you cannot see
A place that's just for me
Behind my eyelids

"From The Futon"
by Trent Lane

There's no place to hide things
Under the bed
And nowhere to hide from what's true
Down here by the floor
My soul calls out "More!"
But knows that it's cry won't get through

From the futon
From the futon
Everything, always so low
From the futon
From the futon
I'm in limbo - how low can I go?

I don't have a headboard
Or box spring of wire
My spirit's hit low altitude
The mattress is thin
It's itching my skin
And that isn't helping my mood

From the futon
From the futon

Everything, always so low
From the futon
From the futon

I'm in limbo - how low can I go?

"From The Futon" and "Behind My Eyelids" were taken from The Daria Diaries by Anne D. Bernstein. You can find out more about the book at MTV Online.
